Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Synapse, a social-media cross-posting service operated by Synapse Social (“we”, “us”, “our”) and available at https://withsynapse.app. By creating an account or using Synapse, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are & acceptance

Synapse is operated by Synapse Social, a sole proprietorship registered in Singapore (UEN 53526189J). By signing up for or using the service, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Synapse.

2. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use Synapse. You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@withsynapse.app if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. What Synapse does

Synapse lets you compose a post once and publish or schedule it to the third-party social-media platforms you connect (for example, via your connected accounts). We act as a tool that transmits your content to those platforms on your instruction. We do not control those platforms, and your use of them remains subject to each platform’s own terms.

4. Connected platforms & your responsibility

When you connect a third-party account, you authorise us (and our posting providers) to publish content and read basic account and analytics data on your behalf. You are solely responsible for: (a) having the rights to connect each account; (b) complying with each platform’s terms, rules, and rate limits; and (c) the content you publish. A platform may change, throttle, suspend, or remove your access at any time, and a post may fail or be removed for reasons outside our control. We are not responsible for platform outages, rejections, or enforcement actions.

5. Subscriptions, free trial, billing & auto-renewal

Synapse is offered on tiered paid subscription plans, from Creator at US$19/month up to Pro at US$79/month, which differ mainly in the number of connected accounts and included features (as shown on the billing page). Each plan can be billed monthly or yearly, where the yearly option is offered at a discount (one or more months free). You may either start with a 7-day free trial or subscribe immediately; a valid payment method is required either way.

Auto-renewal. If you start a trial, then unless you cancel before it ends your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged the price of your chosen plan and billing period. The subscription then renews automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price until you cancel. By starting the trial or subscription you expressly consent to these recurring charges.

Money-back guarantee. If you subscribe without a free trial, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial charge by emailing us; this applies to your first payment only.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings (via the Stripe customer portal). Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access until the end of your current paid period or trial, after which your account is downgraded and — as described in Section 11 — your connected accounts are disconnected and your data may be deleted.

Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods and for periods during which you did not use the service. The free trial is your opportunity to evaluate Synapse at no charge.

Price changes. We may change the price or plan features on reasonable prior notice; changes take effect at your next renewal, and continuing to use Synapse after that constitutes acceptance.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; they are handled by Stripe, Inc. under its own terms and privacy policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Synapse to:

  • break the law or any third-party platform’s rules;
  • post content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative;
  • send spam, run undisclosed automation, or evade platform rate limits;
  • infringe anyone’s intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights;
  • upload malware, attempt to breach our security, access another user’s data, or interfere with the service’s operation;
  • resell or sublicense the service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.

7. Your content

You retain all ownership of the content you create, upload, or publish through Synapse (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the service — for example, to store your drafts and media and to deliver your posts to the platforms you select. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies we are required to retain by law or that have already been transmitted to third-party platforms (which are then governed by those platforms). You represent that you have all rights necessary to Your Content and its publication.

8. Our intellectual property

Synapse, including its software, design, branding, and content we provide, is owned by Synapse Social and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

9. Third-party services

Synapse relies on third-party providers, including Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Stripe (payments), our posting/integration providers, the social-media platforms you connect, and an email-delivery provider. Your use of Synapse may also be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

Synapse is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any post will be successfully published, retained, or delivered by a third-party platform.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synapse Social will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) Synapse. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Synapse Social from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms or of any third-party platform’s terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using Synapse and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. On termination or at the end of your paid period following cancellation, we may disconnect your connected accounts and delete your posts, media, and related data. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Synapse after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for any dispute that is not otherwise resolved.
